Global Institute of Engineering and Technology is an educational institution development by the prasad Educational Trust, Which came into existence in the year 2006 with the strength of 750 students and 42 talented staffs. Today GIT boasts of its towering growth with a total strength of 1417 students and 102 eminet staff, that too within a short span of four years. Now GIT has an approved intake of 3 batches for Mechanical and 3 batches for ECE among the seven department in UG programmes and 2 new PG Programmes to be added, summing up to a total intake of 660 students in 1st year and 36 for PG.

Out of 540 allotted capacity 460 got in the very first year of starting the college.Hardly few engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu could achieve this 90% in the first year of inception. Now Global Institute of Engineering and Technology is ranked 88th among all Engineering Colleges in the state and boasts of 80.89 pass percentage.
